Set Up Google Posts With No Client Login

Connect a client's Google profile with a connect link, turn on posts and send approvals by email. The client never logs in to your platform.

Feature overview: Google Business Profile Posts

A zero-login setup lets your client hand you their Google Business Profile and approve every post without an account on your platform. They sign in once on Google from a link you send, then approve posts from an email link. You run everything else.

It is built for done-for-you services: you write or automate the posts, the client approves them from their inbox, and their profile stays active week after week.

Step 2: The client signs in on Google

  • The page names your agency and says what you will be able to do
  • When their plan includes Publishing, it says the access covers reviews and posts, and that every post is approved by a person before it goes out
  • They click Sign in with Google, pick the business's listing, and see a short success page
  • Reviews, replies, auto-respond, Google performance metrics and posts all run on that one connection

Step 3: Turn on publishing

  • One location: Turn On Publishing on the Google card under Connect -> Integrations -> Sources, or on the Publishing tab under Posts -> Settings
  • Many locations: Business -> Publishing, Turn On Publishing (on a running account, Review and Turn On), with each time zone and one approver per customer
  • Confirm the time zone. Turning publishing on posts nothing by itself
Worth knowing

This is a customer-side screen. Because you are in your agency account, you can reach it two ways: go to Business -> Customers -> Manage Customers and click Open dashboard on the customer: you go into their dashboard with nothing locked, even features their plan hides, and a bar at the top shows whose dashboard you are in (handy for done-for-you setups or granting access beyond a plan); or choose View as customer on the same page to see their dashboard exactly as they see it, with their plan's limits. If your sidebar shows the Agency / Customer switcher, the Customer tab plus the location switcher is a shortcut to the same place.

Step 4: Choose done-for-you on the plan

  • On the customer's plan, set Publishing to Enabled and What the customer can do themselves to Nothing: the agency does everything
  • The client sees no Posts screens. Their approvers still get every approval email
  • Set it on the plan itself, so it stays when the customer changes plan

Step 5: Add the client as an approver

  • Posts -> Settings, Approvals and Notices tab: add the client's address under Approvers. Up to 10 addresses per location
  • A new approver gets a short introduction with their first approval request
  • Send Me a Sample sends you the exact email they will get, marked Sample

Step 6 (optional): Autopilot and the monthly summary

  • Autopilot drafts a post on a schedule from the business facts and real photos, and sends each one to the approver
  • The Monthly summary of live posts sends each location's notice addresses a branded list of last month's live posts on the 1st. Turn it on under Business -> Publishing, Playbook, Emails to Your Customers
