We also have support for local SMS services that are sometimes more cost effective compared to the more established platforms. We often get asked which SMS provider do we recommend? Our personal recomendation is to use Twilio or Telnyx when Sending review requests in the US unless you have a preference for a local service that works out cheaper. While testing most SMS providers will give some credits for you to test out the system and this can be used as normal when setting up the SMS provider in EmbedMyReviews.
Do I have to use an external SMS provider?
For now we don't offer the option to purchase SMS credits directly from us. It is totally optional to offer SMS to your clients so you don't have to offer this within your plans if you don't want to. You can also exclude SMS from your monthly subscription plans and just sell this as addons which can be purchased by your customers separately via the platform.
